On 23rd January, Year 4 went to visit Sutton Synagogue as part of our RE topic; Judaism. We were given a really interesting talk about what happens in a Synagogue and were allowed to touch some special artefacts. We even had the chance to pretend to read from the Torah using a Yad (hand pointer)!
During our 'Roadtrip USA' topic, the children have been discussing and experimenting with circuits. They have learnt the scientific symbol for each component and can construct a simple circuit. We also discussed why a circuit might not be working and ways to fix this.
During our 'I am Warrior' topic, the children made their own Boudicca statues from wire and paper mache. They then painted them carefully and created a base made from clay.
The statues all look wonderful!
