Ofsted Inspection

Attached is a copy of our new Ofsted report.  I am absolutely delighted that the school has been removed from its 'Special Measures' category.  Everyone has worked really hard this year to improve the learning opportunities for the children and this was recognised by the Ofsted Inspectors last week.

Although we are now securely satisfactory overall the Ofsted team has graded the 'Capacity to improve' as good.  Which means they are confident that the leadership of the school can continue the improvements.

We have achieved a significant amount in one year, but are aware that there is still much to do and in the new year I will reporting on our next steps and how we plan to improve further.

I would like say a great big thank you to all the staff, governors, pupils and parents for their contribution to the progress we have made and recognise the huge support that we have received.

Tesco Schools and Clubs

A big thank you to everyone who carefully collected and sent Tesco vouchers into our school.

Your vouchers have been exchanged for visualisers, one for each class, and 3 flip cameras

Visualisers will enhance the learning of all pupils at the school and make learning more interesting and engaging.  Teachers will be able to easily share material (books; photographs) with the class.

Most excitingly, pupils will be able to support their peers by viewing their work on the Interactive Whiteboard (during lessons!) and give constructive feedback to uplevel their work.  This will give pupils a good understanding of what their next steps to success are.

We have also ordered some exciting flip cameras.  Which should be arriving soon!  These allow pupils to take photographs, record video and watch it back straight away.

Very exciting times ahead!

We design them to develop physical and mental agility, improve coordination and balance, enhance communication, develop social skills and inspire creativity, all in a fun and safe environment.
