September 2017 - World War II, A journal entry from an evacuee
In line with our recent trip to the Bluebell Railway, Year 6 have been learning about what life was like during World War II. Here are a few pieces of their work.
As part of our studies we experienced what a typical day at Victorian school might be like. We practised handwriting; did some mental
maths with pounds, shillings and pence; located all of the countries of the British Empire; recited tongue-twisters to improve our elocution;
we even sketched a potato!
