FORGIVENESS ASSEMBLY WITH SUTTON SCHOOLS WORK

On Wednesday 17th January, Sutton Schools Work came to Robin Hood Junior School to do an assembly about 'forgiveness'.

There was a kind lady speaking called Pam and she bought her puppet parrot to show us.  First of all, she told us she was going to tell us a story from the bible.  IN the story, there was a king who nearly sent a servant to jail because the servant didn't pay him the money he owed.  The servant fell to the ground and cried "I'm really sorry".  The king thought for a moment.  After a while he said, "I forgive you".  One day the servant met someone else down the street.  The servant asked the person "Where's the money you owe me?".  The person replied "I'm really sorry I don't have it".  However, this time the servant sent the person to jail instead of forgiving them!  When the king found out he was furious and sent the servant to jail and he immediately released the other person from jail.  So the moral of the story is to forgive!

Lastly the story was finished and we said a prayer.  What a forgiving assembly!
