We were delighted to learn that Lavinia was the overall winner of the London wide Met Police Christmas Tree 2017 poster competition! Lavinia visited New Scotland Yard's brand new headquarters in Westminster on Tuesday 14th November where she helped Police Commissioner Cressida Dick turn on the Christmas lights. Mrs Collings, who organised the competition said: “This competition gave our pupils the opportunity to be creative whilst highlighting the importance of the charity at Christmas time. I was amazed at the range of ideas and designs that the children produced as well as the compassion they showed whilst learning about the charity. We are so proud of our runners up and in particular, Lavinia, whose winning design was fabulous”.
Lavinia's winning entry will be used all around London to launch the Christmas Tree Project, a fantastic cause which appeals to the public to purchase a gift for children in need to open on Christmas Day.
