MUFTI DAY RAISES £334.33 FOR RAINBOW TRUST CHILDREN'S CHARITY
To celebrate Harvest, children on our School Council decided that they would like to hold a Mufti Day and put all money raised to a charity. So on Friday 12th October all our children were invited to come into school wearing brightly coloured clothes instead of their school uniform and donate £1 for the Rainbow Trust Children's Charity. Rainbow Trust supports families who have a child aged 0-18 years with a life threatening or terminal illness. There are an estimated 49,000 children and young people in the UK living with a life limiting or life threatening condition who may require palliative care. Many of these children and their families are able to cope or are not in a ‘crisis situation’. However, thousands of families have to face the very real possibility that their child may die and struggle to cope on a day to day basis. We are delighted to have raised £334.33 to put towards this wonderful work so thank you for all your generous contributions. We are very proud of our children for their will to help others and for showing compassion to families that need support during very difficult times.
