ODD SOCKS DAY AND CHILDREN IN NEED
Next week is Anti-Bullying Week and has the theme of 'Change Starts With Us'. To celebrate this, on Tuesday 12th November we will be having an 'Odd Socks Day', where children and staff can come into school wearing odd socks. The point of this is to celebrate that we are all unique, and the differences we share make the world a more interesting and diverse place! This also links nicely to our 'Celebrating Differences' PSHE unit this half term too.
Children in Need is on Friday 15th November and although we are not collecting money, children are welcome to wear any official Pudsey /Children In Need merchandise on this day to show their support.
Our Year 6 School Councillors say:
“Children In Need” is a renowned charity that raises vital money for children living in extremely difficult situations. What makes ’Children In Need’ a special charity is that it’s known all around the country and helps many children across the world. Some children struggle because they have an awful fight against these difficult situations and need our support. The people who work for ‘Children In Need’ have a big heart and dedicate their lives to helping, so we should play our role as well. On the 15th November, it is ‘Children In Need’ day so, instead of having a Mufti day, we would like to invite children and staff to wear any Pudsey merchandise that they might have bought to support such a special charity.
Thank you for your help.
