Sponsored Walk Presentation for Epsom and St. Helier Hospital Trust
Today we took part in a ceremony to present the Epsom and St Helier Hospital Trust with the money Year 3 raised during our sponsored walk. We went on a double decker bus and we sat at the top, right at the front! When we got there, we took a photograph with other children from the Sutton schools who took part and a giant cheque for the total money raised. It was £28,000! We also met some people who worked at the hospital. We felt a bit nervous but also proud to represent our school. We learnt that our money was used to buy a magic carpet, which is like a big TV screen on the floor that children can play games on, like football. The hospital also bought a bladder scanner with the money. We were pleased to have helped the NHS.
