Today we channeled the namesake of our school with some archery sharpshooting and tested our coordination and balance on the challenge course. After a hearty lunch, we’re on our way home!

Mon 22 May 2023 Mr Taylor

It’s been a successful day of water craft crafting and (very nearly almost road-worthy) buggy building, as well as excellent teamwork on the challenge obstacle courses, orienteering and Jacob’s ladder ascension. The children (though looking pretty tired) really put in the energy to get the most out of their last full day of activities.

Sun 21 May 2023 Mrs Burlingsby

Everyone was a bit tired today but overall it went smoothly and we had another great day!  It has been lovely seeing them being kind to each other. The group leader told them they were the best group at clearing up after meals and politest group he had had.
    Fantastic news Y6, well done.

    An excellent day!
Children have been climbing up walls, abseiling down them, working as teams on some complex problem solving activities and showing their fancy footwork in fiercely fervent fencing face-offs. (The champions may or may not have earned themselves an extra pudding at dinner from the staff)

Sat 20 May 2023 Mrs Burlingsby

We have all had a brilliant afternoon abseiling, fencing, problem solving and climbing. Some groups have tackled orienteering too. One member of Rowan class solved a problem that no one else could, even the staff! The group leaders have told us how good they think our pupils are.
Well done Y6, we’re proud of you.

Children had fun with a song and dance at the campfire tonight and have settled in for the night in preparation for their first full day tomorrow. We’ve already been complimented on our manners in the dinner hall!

  • Y6 Residential Updates

Fri 19 May 2023 Mrs Broers

Everyone was very excited when they set off at 2pm. The large and small suitcases were loaded onto the coaches and the adventure began. Traffic was light and the children arrived before the end of the school day here.

Rooms have been allocated and the children and staff are settling in, ready for three days of fun.
