  • ST RAPHAEL’S ELF RUN 2022

    Thu 19 Jan 2023

You may remember that last term the children took part in a festive Elf Run to raise funds for St Raphael's Hospice. We were able to help raise vital funds for this fantastic local charity who rely heavily on the support and generosity of the community.

    We raised an incredible £2,207.19!!

A big thank you to everyone who donated, and of course to the children who worked so hard to complete the run.

  • CHRISTMAS LUNCH 2022

    Mon 14 Nov 2022

School Christmas lunch will be on Wednesday 7th December 2022.

If your child would like a Christmas meal on this day, please log into ParentPay and make a payment of £2.30 on the payment item entitled ‘School Dinner Money’. Please find attached a link to the booking form which must be completed if you wish to order a Christmas meal. This form should still be completed even if your child usually has a lunch on a Wednesday.

    https://forms.gle/qJZjFmCmjTLM5MrYA

Payment can ONLY be paid online via your ParentPay account. As we keep our school dinner prices as low as possible, we must have payment in advance. This also helps us to order the correct amount of ingredients.

Please note that payment must be received by Monday 28th November. We cannot take requests after this date. If you are entitled to Free School Meals you do not need to make a payment but you do need to complete the form.

  • ODD SOCKS DAY- MONDAY 14TH NOVEMBER

    Mon 07 Nov 2022

Next Monday 14th November marks the start of Anti-Bullying Week and the theme is ‘Reach Out’. We will be doing lessons in class to discuss bullying and talking about how we can be kind to others and reach out when someone might need help.

As part of this week, on the Monday we will be joining in with the Anti-Bullying Alliance and celebrating ‘Odd Socks Day’. This will be an opportunity for children to talk about what makes us all unique and celebrate our differences. All the children need to do is come into school on Monday wearing their uniform as usual (or PE kit for Year 5 and 6) and 2 odd socks! No financial donation is required.

  • SCHOOL DAY TIMINGS

    Mon 26 Sep 2022

We understand that Robin Hood Infants have advised parents of changes to their school day timings from next September. We do not need to make major adjustments to our day however Mrs Bracey and I have liaised on this and from September 2023, the Juniors’ school day will end at 3.20pm. No other changes are needed however this should give parents picking up from the Infants at 3.10pm a little extra time in the afternoon

  • WORLD LANGUAGES DAY- Friday 30th September

    Mon 26 Sep 2022

On Friday 30th September 2022, we are celebrating our own version of European Day of Languages which we like to call World Languages Day. This will be a celebration of different languages and cultures. This year, in order to mark the day, the children will have the opportunity to study different pieces of art from around the world and discover the meaning and motivation behind the art.

On this day, all pupils and staff are invited to come to school dressed in any colours from any chosen flag. This could be the country where your family is originally from; a country that you have visited or even a country that the children just like the colours of the flag.

There is no donation needed for this day.
